Park, Sang-Hoon

Gallery IHN presents the 6th solo exhibition of Sang Hoon-Park who has graduated from Joon-Ang University major in photography. In 1992, He has been spot lighted and criticized by expressing the dawn light, which comes from an inner-self from the <Landscape>exhibition and <dawn landscape>exhibition. The artist won the gold prize at the New York Festivals and 'Kanne International Advertisement'. He is also well known with the series of 'Sang Hoon Park Star Gallery'.
The 'Who are you' exhibition is filled within images of people with their back view. Their appearance from behind looks intimately together. The person who just looks as if finished from work with crumples on the jacket is Gwang Ho Song, who is currently right on the movie spotlight of 'Monster'. On the right side, the picture of Do Yeun Jeon is hung up which looks just as next-door neighbor-hood. Sang Hoon Park take pictures with a spectacular view of an ordinary movie stars life. Naturally, the movie star images, which presented by various materials brings out a sublime atmosphere.
Sang-Hoon Park mainly focused on Stars' natural eye and expression in the past exhibition named 'Star Gallery', but in this exhibition, he concentrated inner aura of the stars casting the images of their back view. In other words, he tried to shoot the stars' natural looks without any luxury dress, even make-ups or any given poses. Stars may be a special curiosity to a common people but to Sang-Hoon Park they mean just as a landscape or a nature in our everyday life. In this exhibition, Sang-Hoon Park mainly focused on their back view that cannot be seen it by self which could only be seen by a mirror or someone else's eye. It is mysterious and dim just like as back view of the moon, which cannot be seen on this planet of earth.
According to the artist, from the images of the back views of actor, Gwang-Ho Song, he felt the mass of rock which never be moved. When looking at someone's back, we could see something that can't see by looking at his or her front view. Also sometimes we meet the back that it never forget. This exhibition will be a chance to see inner self of the stars who are not the value of commodities.
