Jeong, Dae-Hyun

Gallery IHN announces the 10th solo exhibition of Dae-Hyun Jeong, professor of University of Seoul, sculptures where natural materials take on simple and brevity forms. In this exhibition Dae-Hyun Jung presents 30 works cast in stainless steel, two 3m cones and bronze as well as works of head-shaped drawings. The artist visually shows a millstone, which the circulation derives from our tradition. The three- dimensional two cone works, which resembles a spinning top, associates the principal of globe rotation and revolution. The two-dimensional shapes look like a symbol of an orbit movement, which continuously roll upon the massive black pedestals. Without exception, the artist work's reveals a rigorous intellectual process. The artist observing keen perception of the creation of space formation derives powerfully ethereal. In other words, the expansion of the external factors and artworks' boundary provides valuable experience to the viewers within the sculptures' mystique environment.
