Preceding work shows typical abstract- expressionism and postscript shows the neo- expressionism which shows union of abstraction and a botanical image.
These works have aestheticism character of beauty 'for' beauty by an abstract form and color chase to pursue purity anger of conversation.
An artist is to make much of visualization of an inner experience through free Drawing and a harmony of color.

2.Mid 1980s, HaSangRim graduates from HongIk University (BFA) and goes to Germany for study.She starts her study in cologne, important city in western Germany.
In fact, she is telling us that after her college graduation she thought that she would give up the painting. She didn't know why she had to draw paintings and she didn't have a conviction about her painting.
Her cologne life began with confirmation of work and skepticism. As seeing a work of great contemporary artists, she had devotion about "art" again. By identification she was led away abstract expression.
She was lonely, but was able to start drawing and color abstraction by a comfortable mind in Cologne.
She thought only "art" which is her goal in the emotional mood in cologne where doesn't have city's crowded.
She was trying to find a self not a technique.
By an interchange between her professor and other students, she researched expressive and reading painting, not just as drawing.
She spent more time to meditate than to drawing. And that was the way of practice to empty.
We can verify by her worknotebook:"a work in Germany after the graduation was 'finding myself'," more preciousness of small happiness, jealousy, yearning, love, meeting, parting and miss, etc than huge subject or art style research"
These are never small.
Maybe there is no more bigly wanted like this.
feb.1989, she submits her work to graduate exhibition for meister schuler in cologne. That work has her thoughts at that time as it is.
A yellow or brown, a green soft shade divides and constructs a small and big screen.
A painting part is far from regular construction or symmetry.
Moreover, small lines give disordered feeling going in and out a boundary of painting part.
However, wandering lines are solving softly. By an abstract painting which emphasis the innocent beauty of the color, she spreads murmurously like a monologue to herself.
3.After homecoming from cologne in 1989, begining of 1990s, her private exhibition shows ideal abstract expression.
Tender coloring from Germany becomes a heavy, dark coloroing.that makes to feel changing of circumstance.
Short, small lines become long, strong lines which draw a sight of inside.
That her abstract expression reminds a view of the ground which seen from the sky.
Titles of her works also show wide nature like<wind song 1991>series, <the earth 1995>.
These show richness of color sensuously by mountain from the sky, shoreline, view with trees and forest.

She begins a moment of "past and an opening of another self-groping"period.it becomes the times appearing by conversation work with nature.
Work is achieved in a life to experience nature close while enjoying a change of a season than anyone.

The image of 'flower' or 'seed' which it started that appear at really after 2000 is born like this.
