Yoo Bong SangĄ¯s works are notable with numerous nails that count as little as twenty thousand up to seventy thousand on wood pannel. He has been working with countless nails since 2000. He used common life objects, nails on a monochromatic background to give an intriguing contrast between nails and the layer of paint to represent an image of serene earth and the horizon. But in the exhibition in Gallery Ihn, he emerged from the tranquility and added a rhythm and form to his work reflecting a dynamic ocean waves. Also he applied clearer images to his works and the result is a plain splendor. His pieces are more flamboyant and have more definite perspectives of landscapes. He created movement using the reflection of light. One is the waves created by petite sparkling particles on a monochromatic background layer of paint. The other wave was formed by nails grinded and polished in different degrees and shapes to reflect lights to appear like ocean waves.

Yoo Bong SangĄ¯s new pieces are quite different from his previous works. He used digital images of scenery-sky, cloud, flowers and memoirs. He used a thick layer of silicon on top of printed pictures to turn those possibly uncharacteristic images to carry mystic and appealing mood.

Yoo Bong SangĄ¯s works provoke a mixed sentiment: strange yet familiar and serene yet dynamic. He created such atmosphere by combining the realistic images of objects with artistic talent to illustrate beautiful landscape or rather the beauty of landscape. He sought to present his content and uncomplicated life he lives on the plain of Bauce, France.
