Artist Yoon, Mi Ran uses Korean papers on her works, and these materials give her own characteristics.

She shows Korean paper's softness as well as braveness of cut-layer at the same time by using Korean papers which already have softness, grace, easily torn weakness and unexpected and unintentional effects after torn down.
When making her works, first she lays on many Korean papers on a hemp cloth or ramie, then places threads with horizontal, vertical or latticed forms. Finally, she covers lots of papers again on that, and picks threads. These compositions give unities and orders to her works, on the other hand, interruptions and feelings of anxiety as a result of torn and lifted papers up.

The unusual things within the tranquility and stability of Korean papers are motive power of her works.
